The CoverManager team was present at HIP 2022 to support the Hospitality Industry with new solutions in the digital transformation of the restaurant sector. The evolution of new technologies has brought about a series of changes in restaurant operations, modifying work processes and the way we interact with our customers.
The HIP - Horeca Professional Expo 2022 trade fair closed its sixth edition with more than 34,857 professionals from the hospitality sector. Under the slogan "The new Horeca is Coming", the focus was placed on the recovery and growth of the sector with new technological solutions and trends.
Hospitality 4.0 Congress
Last Monday, March 7, our general manager, José Antonio Pérez Moral, took part in a talk on the evolution of digitalization in the hospitality sector, alongside Sergio López Fuente, CEO of unBlock and JJ Delgado, general manager of MOVE Estrella Galicia. A round table moderated by Daniel Rubio Gil, project director at Valhalla, where the most relevant types of solutions of recent years and the evolution of the hospitality sector were discussed.
We also took part in the round table Digitalization, objectives and benefits for your business, together with María Romero Charneco, our Marketing and Communication manager, where she presented the current state of the sector and the benefits of going digital. A discussion presented by the Horeca Data and Hospitality Digitalization director of Spain David Domínguez.
At the table we were joined by Raúl Serrano Carbonell, CEO of El Mirador el Goloso, a Cover restaurant since early 2020, who told us about the advantages and benefits of switching from the paper booking book to a digital one. Miguel García Calvete from the restaurant La Tapería de Padro. Marta Alonso Machín, head of hospitality activation and digitalization at Mahou San Miguel, referred to the Mahou San Miguel online platform aimed at driving the digitalization of the hospitality sector and bringing our solutions at a more affordable price to establishments across Spain.
Awards: The Best Digital Restaurants 2022
This year we were sponsors of the The Best Digital Restaurants 2022 awards along with Makro, Last.App and HIP, Horeca Professional Expo. These awards are the only ones given in the world as recognition of the effort and work in the digital and technological management of the best independent restaurants, groups, chefs and virtual restaurants in the country.
The awards were created by the digital newspaper DiegoCoquillat.com, a leader in information on innovation and new technologies applied to the restaurant industry.
This year the winners were: Samantha Vallejo-Nágera - The Best Digital Chef. Our partner restaurant Fismuler, received the The Best Digital Restaurant Indie (independent restaurant) award in recognition of its great work in the digital management of its business. Kentucky Fried Chicken - The Best Digital Restaurant Group. Congratulations also to our partner Dani García and his entire team for the well-deserved award for La Gran Familia Mediterránea - The Best Digital Restaurant Virtual.
CoverParty by CoverManager. An epic event of the Hospitality Industry
For the first time we launched the first afterwork of the Hospitality Industry, an exclusive gathering where the companies of the sector were able to come together and connect to create alliances. It was the best space for technology companies in the sector, chefs, operations directors, top executives, startups and investors to meet in a relaxed and dynamic atmosphere so they could share impressions, points of view and also have a good time to build and grow the Hospitality Industry.
