Last night saw the 2026 Spain Guide Gala take place, an event that brings together every year the gastronomic experiences shaping the future of our cuisine. A particularly exciting edition in which 30 new Stars were awarded, confirming the extraordinary moment that culinary talent is experiencing in our country.

At CoverManager, we celebrate this with pride, as 10 of those new distinctions have been awarded to restaurants that trust us to create their experiences. A recognition that demonstrates the work, dedication and passion with which our partners make every service shine.

The final result is a 2026 Spain Guide featuring 307 starred restaurants, a figure that consolidates our country as one of the most vibrant gastronomic epicentres in the world.

Keep reading to discover all the details.

The individual awards and Green Stars of the 2026 Gala

The Gala began with the individual awards, designed to highlight the professionals driving Spanish gastronomy forward. The Chef Mentor Award 2026 went to Quique Dacosta, an essential figure in contemporary cuisine. The Service Award 2026 recognised the mastery of Abel Valverde, head of service at Desde 1911. The Sommelier Award 2026 honoured the work of Luis Baselga, from the wine cellar of Smoked Room. And the Young Chef Award 2026 celebrated the rise of Juan Carlos García, from the restaurant Vandelvira.

The first 3 award-winning professionals carry out their daily work in restaurants that operate with CoverManager, something that fills us with pride and reinforces our commitment to those who strive for excellence in every service.

Sustainability also took a prominent place with the Green Stars, awarded to projects that demonstrate a genuine commitment to their environment. The recipients were Ama (Tolosa), Bakea (Mungia), Garena (Dima), Hika (Villabona) and Terraem (Port de Pollença). Garena, the gastronomic concept of Julen Baz, also works with CoverManager in its daily operations.
